Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kikan, the follow-up manager at kikan.app. By creating an account you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Kikan.
• An account belongs to one person. Keep access to your email account safe: anyone who can open your sign-in links can open your Kikan account.
• Tell us at privacy@kikan.app if you think someone else has used your account.

The text you paste and the follow-ups you keep are yours. You give us the permission we need to store, process and display them, and to send them to the providers named in the Privacy Policy, only to run Kikan for you.

Messages often contain other people’s personal data. Paste only what you are allowed to use, and follow any confidentiality rules that apply to you, such as your employer’s.

Kikan uses a language model to suggest follow-ups from what you paste. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete: a date may be misread or a commitment missed. You review each one before it is saved, and you remain responsible for the commitments you keep or miss. Kikan is a reminder tool, not a legal, financial or professional record.

Do not:

• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights through Kikan;
• try to access other people’s data, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
• get around rate limits, plan allowances or other technical limits;
• resell Kikan or use it to build a competing service through automated access.

• Free includes a weekly AI allowance, about 70 captures a week. When it runs out, you can still save a capture’s text as a draft until the next week.
• Pro is not on sale yet. When it is, it costs €10 per month and raises the weekly allowance 75-fold. It renews every month until you cancel.
• Pro is sold by Stripe as merchant of record. Stripe charges you, handles VAT and sales tax, and its terms of sale apply to the purchase, including refunds and any right of withdrawal.
• You can cancel in Settings → Plan & usage. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately.
• Promo codes grant Pro for a set number of days without payment. Each code can be redeemed once per person and has no cash value.
• We may change prices or allowances. We tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

We work to keep Kikan available and your data safe, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove features; if a change takes away something you pay for, you can cancel and we will help you export your data.

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Data; export your data first if you want to keep it. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless the breach makes it impossible, we tell you first and give you time to export your data.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or missed deadlines. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. Otherwise, the courts of France have jurisdiction. Consumers in the EU can also use a consumer mediator before going to court.

We may update these terms. For material changes we email you at least 30 days before they apply; if you keep using Kikan after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
